Overview

Trial of system on HT and dual system on steam line to evaluate resolution, repeatability, and accuracy. Customer wanted to validate cellular connectivity, probe performance, and data management using webPIMS.


Application

  • 6” steam line, operating at ~200F
  • Thickness ~0.350”


Product Used

Custom built smartPIMS Cellular

  • smartPIM w/ 4 duals and 4 HT probes
  • Monitoring interval: reading every 4 hours, transmission every day
  • DSI bolted to unistrut which was clamped to i-beam


Outcome

  • Validate system performance for two months and then take to process unit for large scale deployment of systems (HT & LT)
